A presentation of some of my artwork made during the last 29 years. As life itself I am not static, but in continuous development. But there are lines, a chore and a wholeness to my work that can be traced and recognized. All is somehow connected. The soul that weaves its diverse threads through the net- my artistry and the energy behind it reflects my deeper consciousness. A sensing way of relating to the world is reflected in my art. It is a tool and a way of approaching the creative work. The works arises mostly by a sensing apporach. My works many layers will be hidden for those who regard art with a one dimensional approach, whether purely materialistic, intellectual or other. |

What is my project? Empathy and counsciousness towards nature works in symbiosis with my artwork. I express my engagement artistically, as an activist or writer. I work besides my art with paralell realities, whether all life forms paralell realities with our own and yet interconnected, or spiritual parellel realms. I have an interest in the etheric, spiritual meeting with the physical. Creational processes. Creative prosesses is a theme that occurs in my work over on many levels. Also the physical creation/manifestation of life and life prosesses. At other times I am an observer of life through art. But foremost I project my sensed experiences. That can also be experienced by the observer through their own senses. Not based in an intellectualized project, for dissection of the mind. I started off making scrolls and simple lines representing people and other, like most people/children. I enjoyed forming lines, circles, men, women, animals, houses with chimneys, but the seagulls in the sky became maybe a bit obligatoric after a while. Messing with paint, colours, forming of figures and expressing myself continued with scribbling in schoolbooks before I started to get really inspired. Working consciously intuitively letting the pen lead me where it wanted to move. Inspired material, "fantastic" figures, colours and movement. Deeper/higher consciousness and inspiration ruled the grounds of my creations. And I was happy in my creative process. |

I went abroad to study art in France in Ecole des Beaux art, when I was reaching twenty. There I met the newest fashion of expression. I didn´t understand much of it as a non-initiated at the start. It seemed meaningless to watch papershreds thrown all over a floor and forms with no content. The group projects I got involved with though was someting I could creatively explore. I tried playing with "the new trend", but at the same time I protected my own expression, and continued working with it coming home. The poetic, passionate and somewhat etheric. After a few years of inspiration at my desk, I once more met the academic environment. I started to witness my art with another regard. An other kind of creator´s more critical overlook from "outside" of it. Ending up in a process where I tried make something I had never seen or experienced with my own eyes before. Emptying any memories of anything I had seen before. It ended up with the abstract picture "nothing" (nothingness) and more abstract pictures. "her" " him" etc. A creating of a "new" universe. I did enjoy the transformation. Landed in a way. But the colours disappeared, and some of the "naivity". I tested more out my craft then also. Though the commentaries on society still also happened through some of the works as earlier. | |||

I entered the National Art Academy in Oslo in1991. I still explored more my "political" expression, that later once more passed on to more abstract organic work and then a wish to express "something more" through a figurative language. I wanted to be so clear in my "photographic" drawings that they would become mystical. Once more I met professors with and interest for group projects. It stimulated and corresponded with my own interests. A pure-cultivating trend of ideaphilosophic artexpression into the artworld was colouring the whole art-arena like a big pressure then as it is still today. Idea-art/intellectual debate and cleverness/inventiveness. I did not exit the academy with a "package" to sell myself through, no trademarks in sync with the language of the moment. It took some years before I again found pleasure again in front of my drawingboard. But after awhile pictures came where I started combining some of the new and the old of my work in renewed form. This has later developed further inwards, into a more essential and simplified language. The creative processes continue on. I have still many rooms that comes my way to enter. And I am looking forward to continue on the creative path. |

| My pastels. Techniques. Most of my pictures are made in pastel drawing. Except for oils made in my youth and mandala shaped crow painings in 2000., some abstract paintings from 89 on, but I have also taken up again painting the last year, acrylics, and I work for the time being on etheric abstract works in acrylics. Many wonder how I draw my pastels. Some thinks some of the children portraits are manipulated photographs, but I do not use projection of pictures/photos to draw out the pictures. They are all made by "free hand", but some like the childrens portraits are scetched first by simple drawn gridsystem for right proportion. Contact and sale.
