Nov. 19, 2011 – Feb. 5, 2012 Orchestrated by the FreeApache artist collective, led by Bob Haozous (Chiricahua Apache) and Roxanne Swentzell (Santa Clara), New Age, Old Ways presents a universal vision of spirituality in the form of the cross-cultural ceremonial drum and brings together indigenous artists from around the world "The goal is to inspire communication and dialogue with native peoples, their communities, and all of humanity. The shared discussion will be based upon common Indigenous perspectives concerning the environment. These initial conversations encourage viewer participation with their contribution of a message to the plants surrounding us." Participating with the work "Bridge". A dandelion drumstick. Message of my work: "Bridge" Seeds are the bridges to tomorrow. Take care of and be aware of the seeds you sow into the ground/future. Sprouting next spring/generation where feeding and bridging again to the next generation. ![]() |
